I’ve just started reading Rick Warren’s ” The Purpose Driven Life” and I’m really enjoying it. Rick tells us ” The way you see your life, shapes your life. How you define life determines your destiny. Your perspective will influence how you invest your time, spend your money, use your talents and value your relationships”. For example, if you think like is a party, your primary value in life will be to have fun, if you see life as a rat race you will value speed, if you see life as a game or battle, winning will be very important to you.   I feel that offers great insight both from a spiritual perspective and also for the relationships we have with others. If we can understand where others are “coming from”, what motivates them, what drives them, we can communicate more effectively with them. As for me, I’m driven by having work-life balance  and being the best I can be, in all areas of my life. What about you?
